Africa is not nearly as expensive to hunt as most think. In fact it can be cheaper than many guided hunts in the lower 48 and most such hunts in Alaska or Canada. Prices are normally expressed in two ways: daily rates and packages. On a daily rate hunt, the hunter is charged a fee for each hunting day and then pays for those animals he shoots. The daily rate includes the services of a PH, appropriate vehicle, full room and board, etc. The total safari price is variable based on what is shot. Additionally if there are taxes, airport pick-up and drop-off fees, etc. these are charged as applicable. A package hunt is a discounted hunt that has a set number of animals, all taxes, fees, etc. included in the total cost. You buy a package based on the animals it contains and the number of days. Those animals are paid for whether you get them or not (any package I offer includes only animals that you will reasonably have a chance at - no fillers), but additional animals can be taken for their trophy fee after you have bagged your package animals. Packages are generally all inclusive except for airfare, tips and trophy dipping/packing/shipment.
Argentina is well known for its high volume bird shooting, but its big game hunting gets less attention. Whether you hunt from horseback in Patagonia or on foot in other areas, the red stag, black buck antelope and fallow deer hunting is excellent. It also harbors large, free ranging herds of Indian water buffalo which can make for an exciting hunt. Numerous species of native and feral animals are also available --- notably puma. The hospitality and food is legendary.
The South Pacific areas I represent include Australia, New Caledonia and New Zealand. Australia has exceptional water buffalo and banteng hunting as well as numerous species of deer, hogs and goats. Many people enjoy the unlimited vermin shooting. Many camps are located on rivers/beaches and offer great fishing.
New Caledonia is a specialist destination with superb free ranging Rusa deer the quarry.
New Zealand is best known for its monster red stag, beautiful tahr and challenging chamois. Both free range and estate hunting is available with accommodations ranging from luxurious lodges to comfortable ranch homes. It is also a great destination for a vacation hunt.
Specials: For a limited time, all Argentina and South Pacific safaris will receive a 10% discount on the daily rate/package as applicable.
If you purchase a safari through me, I will provide a detailed list of the total cost of the safari that includes all fees, taxes, etc. - there are no hidden costs. Ensure you take into account all cost associated with a safari before booking one. Not included in the pricing list are airfare, tips, and trophy dipping/packing/shipping. This is done because we have no control over those costs and they can vary significantly for each hunter.
All hunts require a deposit (30%-50%) that is generally nonrefundable. Finally, all rights are reserved to change prices without notice. Once a hunt has been booked and the deposit paid, the daily rate/package cost are locked in at the price quoted upon receipt of deposit.
