INTRODUCTION

Wilks' Safari Adventures, LLC offers high quality, affordable safaris through a network of experienced outfitters throughout Africa, Argentina and the South Pacific. In Africa the whole spectrum of dangerous game, plains game, bird shooting, photographic and adventure safaris are offered. I concentrate on fair chase hunts that offer a true hunting experience and an excellent value.

As a retired U.S. Marine Corps officer, I value integrity and direct, open communication. I have hunted with each outfitter I represent -- I know what they actually have! I will work with you to personalize your safari, but to do that, I need you to be open and honest with me concerning your desires. Tell me what primary species you want to hunt and weapon you want to use. Realize that each area is unique and not all animals can be hunted in the same area. Based on your stated desires, I'll provide you with information on various options. I'll make recommendations and provide choices, but you need to give me direct feedback so that we can tailor your safari to your wishes.

Surprising to many is the fact that for the same money you would spend on many 5-day guided elk hunts (not to mention guided hunts in Alaska and Canada), you can go on an 8-day plains game hunt in Africa and kill not 1 but 4, 5 or even 6 animals. The accommodations and service are exceptional with fine meals, laundry done daily and hot showers/full toilet facilities. The hunt can often be tailored to meet your physical needs, but it is always comfortable back in camp.

As a husband and father, I have always enjoyed sharing my adventures with my family. I realize that the costs involved in a husband/wife and parent/child hunt are actually borne by one source. Consequently, I have worked with many of my outfitters to offer special rates for husband/wife and parent/child hunts where the wife/child pays the observer rate but can also hunt - this can be a significant savings. There is also the opportunity to take truly interesting side excursions in addition to the safari, thereby enhancing the vacation experience for the family.

Finally, remember that it costs you nothing to use my services as a hunting consultant. You benefit from the experience gained on my many safaris without the tribulations of mistakes made. I am in this business because I love to hunt and enjoy helping others fulfill their dream for a safari.
